At least four drag queens are set to battle one another in simulated song in Adams Morgan tomorrow.
Duplex Diner (2004 18th St. NW) is set to host the “Queens for a Cure Lip Sync Battle” tomorrow night at 9 p.m. During the event, Jalah Nicole, Shaunda Leer, Desiree dik and Goldie DuCraix will perform two songs each as they battle for lip sync supremacy.
“Which queen will reign supreme?” reads a Facebook post for the competition. “Come and witness for yourselves. Your Friday evening will ‘rule!'”
The event will also feature drink specials and music until midnight.
Though there’s a $10 donation at the door, all proceeds from this event go toward The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, according to organzier Vanessa McDonald.
