Man Stabbed Near 14th Street Corridor

Police_Cruiser(Updated at 8:24 a.m. Tuesday) A man stabbed another man multiple times near the 14th Street corridor late last night, according to D.C. Police.

Police said the crime occurred on the 1300 block of S Street NW around 9:40 p.m. last night.

“Officers were in the 1300 block of S St. NW when they heard a commotion in the block,” wrote Randy Griffin, a police captain, in an email to the Third District listserv. “The officers investigated and found a victim suffering from multiple lacerations. The officers were able to apprehend the suspect and placed the suspect under arrest.”

Griffin continued: “My gratitude is extended to the officers that were exactly where they needed to be at the appropriate moment for the sake of the victim, the suspect, and the neighboring citizens.”

Police have not yet released the suspect’s name.
