Burger Eatery to Pop Up in Park View

(Updated at 3:10 p.m.) The Mothership space in Park View is adding another pop-up restaurant.

The hamburger-centric Lucky Buns is scheduled to open May 29 at 3301 Georgia Ave. NW, as first reported by food website Burger Days.

The restaurant, which only will operate on Sundays from noon to 9 p.m., will share space with Southeast Asian eatery Alfie’s, another pop-up spot that opened earlier this year. Ex-Duke’s Grocery chef and “Food Network Star” contestant Alex McCoy runs both of the restaurants.

At Lucky Buns, diners can expect a garlic mayo “Burger Royale” and a green chili hamburger, among other burgers at $10 or less, according to Washingtonian.
