Dine at any D.C. Chipotle restaurant and help fundraise for D.C. Public Libraries. To participate in the event, tell your cashier you are supporting the cause, and 50% of your bill will go directly to support DCPL.
D.C.’s Prince Birthday Tribute
U Street Music Hall (1115 U St. NW)
9 p.m. – 12 a.m.
Performers DJ Dredd and Axel F will pay tribute to the late musician. All proceeds benefit Girls Rock D.C. and U Street Music Foundation.
Wednesday
D.C. Music Salon: The Story of WHFS 102.3 FM

7 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Take a trip back to the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s when free form, progressive rock radio was in its heyday. Hear from musicians, DJs Weasel, Cerphe, Josh, Adele, Thom as they reflect on a time when the music united a tribe who spoke out via the radiowaves about war, equality, and the times. Filmmaker Jay Schlossberg and special guests will be on hand to show parts of this film and swap stories on what made this station legendary.
Thursday
Borderstan Community Happy Hour
Sudhouse DC (1340 U Street N.W.)
5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
We’ve reserved the upper floor of Sudhouse for a community happy hour this week. Attendees can enjoy $3 beers, $6 Moscow mules, $3 orders of sweet potato bacon fries and $6 veggie burgers. The first to arrive will receive a Borderstan T-Shirt. Hope to see you there!
Karaoke Happy Hour to support Bancroft and Cooke

Starts at 5:30 p.m.
Practice your singing voice and support local schools at the first annual H.D Cooke/Bancroft elementary school karaoke night. Haydee’s Restaurant will donate 20 percent of all food and beverage sales that night.

Silent Dance Party in DuPont Circle

WithLoveDC is hosting yet another Silent Dance Party in Dupont Circle. A quiet crowd will gather around the Dupont Circle fountain next Friday at 8 p.m. and “dance, smile, and laugh” in silent synchronicity during the event.

Comedian and “Kids in the Hall” star Kevin McDonald will perform jokes onstage in this new downtown comedy venue.
Saturday
Pride Parade
Starting location: 22nd & P Streets, N.W.
4:30 p.m.
Crowds will converge on Dupont and Logan Circle for this year’s Pride Parade. The parade is slated to have floats, drag queens, entertainment, and naturally — dogs. The parade will travel 1.5 miles through Dupont Circle and 17th Street and end up in Logan.
ANC -1B Health and Safety Summit
Girard & 14 St. N.W. Park
12 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Talk with community and government agencies, get free health screenings and tour a fire engine or a police car during this event organized by local leaders.
Sunday
Faith Salie: Approval Junkie

Politics & Prose at Busboys and Poets 14th & V welcomes Faith Salie to present the new book “Approval Junkie: Adventures in Caring Too Much.” For former Rhodes Scholar, Salie, most of her life, winning approval has been her great motivator. Her essays chronicle the sometimes absurd lengths to which she’s gone to please others.
