The Perch, a new farm and community space from Good Sense Farm and Apiary owner Zachari Curtis, is slated to soft open at 3400 Georgia Ave. NW this weekend.

To celebrate its opening, the business will host a party in its new space this Sunday at 5 p.m. The party will include tours, music and drinks, according to an Eventbrite page.

“Come ready to imagine a community space and food hub right on front street,” the event post reads. “Meet and mingle other community members, artists and activists with creative ideas.”

When it opens, The Perch’s 7,200-square-foot space will be used not only to grow mushrooms and greens but also to host mushroom growing classes and community events like clothing swaps, according to the Express.
