It’s going to be a hot one.
The temperature in the District could rise above 90 degrees for the first time this year this weekend.
Heat or not, thousands of people are expected to head to Dupont and Logan Circle for the annual Capital Pride Parade. Will it rain? Maybe, says the National Weather Service. Sunday is the only day without a chance of rain, according to the NWS.
Here’s what else you need to know this weekend:
- A health fair will bring will bring emergency vehicles, free health screenings and information booths to a Columbia Heights Park Saturday.
- A mushroom farm will open in Park View Sunday, and you can tour it.
- Community leaders will host a cleanup in Park View.
- There will also be a community cleanup in Columbia Heights.
- The Mt. Pleasant Library will host a book sale Saturday and Sunday.
