Firefighters Battle Tour Bus Blaze in Shaw

Firefighters rushed to the scene of a burning tour bus in Shaw earlier this afternoon, authorities said.

Someone called 911 to report a bus on fire at near 6th St. and Rhode Island Ave. NW around 2:12 p.m. A video posted to the D.C. Fire and EMS twitter shows the bus completely engulfed in flames.

Fire crews knocked down the blaze just after 2:30 p.m. this afternoon. Nobody was injured during the fire, according to D.C. Fire and EMS spokesman Doug Buchanan.

Authorities did not immediately say how the bus caught fire.
