Someone hurled a glass cup at a woman and injured her during a fight at a Dupont Circle bar over the weekend, according to a police report Borderstan obtained today.

The attack happened inside a bar at 1214 18th St. NW about 2:15 a.m. Sunday. Authorities didn’t identify the business. But Public Bar and the Eritrean Cultural and Civic Center share the address.

Emanuel Mpras, a lawyer for the Eritrean center, said the organization doesn’t have a liquor license yet and wasn’t aware of an assault at the center. A Public Bar representative wasn’t immediately be to comment.

The victim and the attacker were arguing before the fight turned physical, police said. During the quarrel, the assailant got on a table and threw the glass at the woman, who was hit in the mouth.

Paramedics treated the woman on the scene for a cut to her lip.

Police haven’t released any suspect information.
