Car Fire Shuts Down Street Near Convention Center
Authorities have closed roads near the Walter E. Washington Convention Center to fight a car fire.
The fire broke out on the 1100 block of 6th St. NW around 8:20 a.m. this morning, D.C. Fire and EMS spokesman Oscar Mendez said.
One person escaped the car safely and is being evaluated on the scene, Mendez added.
