Washington D.C. Tell Your Story: Storytelling for Jobs and Business Opportunities

Participants will learn how to create elevator pitches and brand statements, define professional identities and prepare for job interviews during this free workshop.

Capriotti’s 40th Anniversary

The sub chain will celebrate the company’s 40th birthday by slinging a year’s supply of Bobbie sandwiches to the first 100 customers through the door. The chain will also dole out cards worth one free sub to the next 50 guests in line and give away $2 coupons to everyone else who eats there that day.
WeWork K Street Opening Party

Shared workspace WeWork is celebrating the opening of its new K Street location with food, activities and drinks.
Thursday
Fete de la Musique
Dupont Circle Park
3:00-8 p.m.
Locals can gather in Dupont Circle park to celebrate the worldwide French holiday. The lineup for the free festival includes bands playing jazz music, music for kids and “international hits.” The event will also include French games like pétanque and other outdoor activities.
Pride in Preservation
The Heurich House Museum (1307 New Hampshire Ave. NW)
6-8 p.m.
This event will honor the National Park Service LGBTQ Heritage Initiative with a panel discussion. The event will be followed by a light reception where guests can explore the historic home of D.C. brewer Christian Heurich.
Friday
Rooftop Silent Disco
The Embassy Row Hotel (2015 Massachusetts Ave NW)
7-11:00 p.m.
Attendees can buy tickets to dance atop the Embassy Row Hotel to music only they can hear. The event features music pumped into wireless headphones by three DJs.
Saturday
Shinola Block Party
Parking lot on R Street across from 1631 14th St. NW
3-8 p.m.
Detroit based retailer Shinola is hosting a party with food and music. Attendees can buy seasonal treats from the Dog Tag Bakery while listening to music from Greensky Bluegrass and local group Howard Gospel Choir during the event.
Sunday
The Self Care Party
Dupont Circle Yoga (2032 P St. NW)
3-5 p.m.
Yoga instructor Annie Shiel Yoga will lead participants through vinyasa poses set to live music from local artists. This class is all levels and part of Shiel’s monthly Beats Pray Love series.

Ben Ehrenreich The Way to The Spring: Life and Death in Palestine
