HBCU Alumni Race to Close Streets Near Howard This Weekend
Runners for the HBCU Alumni Alliance’s 5K run could cause drivers some delays later this week.
The annual race, organized by alumni of historically black colleges and universities, is scheduled to shut down several streets to traffic near Howard University Saturday morning, according to HBCU’s website.
Streets scheduled to close from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m include:
- Georgia Avenue NW from Harvard Street to Barry Place NW.
- W Street NW from 4th to 6th streets NW.
- 6th Street NW from W to Gresham streets NW.
- 5th Street NW from Gresham Street to Howard Place NW.
- 4th Street NW from Howard Place to W Street NW.
