Bowser is scheduled to have the signing ceremony at the Columbia Heights Civic Plaza (14th Street and Park Road NW) at 6 p.m.
Other D.C. officials and locals are expected to join the mayor to celebrate the Fair Shot Minimum Wage Amendment Act, which the D.C. Council passed last week.
The attendees are slated to include home care workers, who advocated for the bill.
“When we first rallied for $15/hour, a lot of people said we didn’t stand a chance,” home care worker Fay Jack said in a statement. “Today, we’re showing what’s possible when workers stick together for good jobs.”
