UPDATED: Cops Nab Man Wanted in Columbia Heights Armed Robbery
(Updated at 5:05 p.m.) A man sought in a robbery with a gun in Columbia Heights this morning was arrested, according to authorities.
Cops received a report of an armed robbery on the 1300 block of Monroe Street NW about 7 a.m.
Someone, who was was with two other people, refused to buy something from three individuals in the area when one of them flashed a gun, according to authorities. The person with the gun then pushed one of the victims to the ground and robbed him before fleeing with the other suspects.
One of the victims saw one of the suspects on the 1300 block of Park Road NW soon after and told a nearby police officer. The cop then chased the suspect, who tried to hide on the 2900 block of Sherman Avenue NW.
Police arrested the suspect, whose name authorities didn’t immediately release.
Cops temporarily shut down at least one street in Columbia Heights earlier today as they looked for the suspect.

Police said they continue to investigate the crime.
