Power Outage Reported in Columbia Heights

A power outage reportedly left hundreds of Pepco customers without electricity in Columbia Heights earlier this evening.

Approximately 773 customers were affected by an outage as of roughly 7:25 p.m. this evening, according to the Pepco outage map.

Customers are currently on track to have power restored as late as 4 a.m. tomorrow morning, the power company estimated.

Outages were first reported in the area just after 6:10 p.m. this evening. Pepco did not say what may have caused the outages.
