Cops were called to the View 14 apartment complex (2303 14th St. NW) around 2:30 p.m. Monday to assist D.C. Fire and EMS personnel on an injury call.
Police tell us that a man inside a sixth floor apartment suffered cuts to his feet and ankles. Though the man’s injuries were not life-threatening, the apartment was covered in an “insurmountable amount of blood,” according to a police report we obtained. Additionally, one resident reported there was blood all over a hallway and an elevator.
Police said the man’s injuries “appeared to have come from another person” but did not identify any suspects or a motive in the possible crime.
Authorities are still investigating the matter.
