‘Thingamajig Swap’ Planned for NoMa This Weekend

Thingamajig swap, photo via REINature enthusiasts are set to swap and sell “thingamajigs” at a lot in NoMa this weekend.

Outdoor retailer REI’s “Thingamajig Gear Swap” event is scheduled to occur at NoMa’s Wunder Garten (1st and L streets NE) this Saturday from 12-5 p.m., according to REI’s webpage.

Locals will be able to swap, sell and purchase used outdoor gear to the tune of live bluegrass music during the event. The outdoor retailer will also sell “top-quality used gear” during the swap.

The first 50 people to show up with some used gear to sell or trade will to receive a free beer. Some of the proceeds from ticket sales will go toward the nonprofit Mid-Atlantic Climbers, according to REI’s website.
