Woman Kidnapped in Shaw, Sexually Assaulted

Police car light(Updated at 8:15 a.m.) Two men abducted a woman in Shaw and took her to Southeast D.C., where one of them sexually assaulted her over the weekend, police said last night.

The kidnapping happened on the 600 block of T Street NW Sunday, not long after midnight. After the abduction, the first degree sexual abuse occurred on the 3200 block of 28th Street SE, near Suitland Parkway and the D.C.-Maryland border.

The victim was walking near the Howard Theatre when the two men forced her into a car and drove her to a Southeast alley, according to authorities.

Police are looking for:

  • a black male, in his late twenties to early thirties in age, light complexion, low haircut, wearing a brown polo style shirt, blue jeans, and a hat.

  • a black male, in his late twenties to early thirties in age, dark complexion, low haircut, and plastic black oval shaped eyeglasses.

Anyone who has information regarding this case should call police at 202-727-9099.  Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.  The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for an assault committed in the District of Columbia.
