Pizzeria Near 9:30 Club Plans to Add Outdoor Seating
A pizza restaurant near the 9:30 Club is in the process of getting the D.C. government’s blessing to serve its pies, along with its cocktails, outside.
Declaration at 807 V St. NW now has an application for a “summer garden” on file with the D.C. Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration, according to a notice the agency published this week. The outdoor space would have seating for 18 diners, the paperwork says.
Under the application, Declaration’s customers could eat their “Roger Sherman” meatball pizzas and sip their “Independence Mule” drinks as they have done inside the eatery since it opened this past winter.
“It would be an extension of our restaurant,” Declaration manager Tammy Vodinh said.
The D.C. Alcoholic Beverage Control Board is expected to rule on the restaurant’s proposal in the coming months.
