How to Help The Passenger in Shaw Pay Its Rent by Drinking Schlitz
Tom Brown is looking for help to cover the rent for his Shaw bar that is slated to reopen this month.
If you bring $40 in cash to the future home of The Passenger at 1539 7th St. NW this upcoming Monday, Brown will thank you with Schlitz beer, Filibuster rye whiskey and live karaoke from the HariKaraoke Band.
But why have a party this Monday from 8 p.m. to midnight?
“Because it’s the 15th and we still gotta pay rent!” according to a post put up on The Passenger’s Facebook page today.
Originally located at 1017 7th St. NW, the watering hole and its bar within a bar, Columbia Room, shut down on Jan. 1, 2015.
Columbia Room, run by Brown’s brother, Derek, reopened in Blagden Alley in March. But Tom Brown has yet to announce exactly when the reincarnated Passenger will make its official debut.
