Italian Eatery to Debut in Adams Morgan With Ticketed Meal

Osteria Al Volo at 1790 Columbia Road NWAn Italian restaurant tomorrow is set to mark its arrival in Adams Morgan with a multi-course wine dinner, for diners with tickets only.

Al Volo Osteria (which its owners also have called Osteria Al Volo) is scheduled to christen its space at 1790 Columbia Road NW with a meal of oyster mushroom ravioli, stuffed lamb loin and other food at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Dinner tickets are available online for $49.

The complete menu is slated to include:

CRUSTED BLACK PEPPER BEEF CARPACCIO

Fennel, celery, baby arucola parmigiano, lemon dressing

Little Wild Things City Farm

BURRATA CAPRESE

Organic heirloom tomatoes, basil, vin cotto

Garner’s Produce

OYSTER MUSHROOM RAVIOLI

Parmesan basket, Jerusalem artichoke puree, crispy oyster mushrooms

Mycolumbia Mushrooms

FENNEL CRUSTED SCALLOPS

Zucchini flower risotto, ricotta stuffed zucchini flower, saffron beurre blanc

Mountain View Farm

STUFFED LAMB LOIN

Olives, sun dried tomatoes, roasted sweet potatoes, summer vegetables, Barolo reduction

Pecan Meadown Farm

LEMON VERBENA PANNA COTTA

Prosecco poached peaches

Reid’s Orchard & Winery

A representative of the restaurant, which is run by Daniele and Matteo Catalani of D.C. pasta maker Cucina Al Volo, didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment on the meal.

Located in the former Pasta Mia space, the eatery is set to have its grand opening Friday.
