UPDATED: Love ‘n Faith Cafe on 14th St. to Reopen Today After Brief Closure

(Updated at 10:05 a.m.) A 14th Street eatery known for its ice cream and coffee is set to resume business today after a short closure.

Love n’ Faith Community Cafe at 2424 14th St. NW is slated to unlock its doors again at noon, according to a tweet from the restaurant this morning.

Last night, a handwritten note on a marker board near the front door of the restaurant said the eatery was “closed until further notice.” This morning, no one picked up the phone at the eatery, which normally opens at 7 a.m.

“We apologize for any inconvenience,” the marker board message said.

Founded in 2014, the cafe specializes in homemade ice cream, locally roasted coffee, desserts, salads, turkey chili and panini sandwiches, according to its website.
