Ice Cream Jubilee to Open Location Near 14th Street
The rumors are true. A shop known for its eclectic ice cream flavors will open a store near the 14th Street corridor.
Ice Cream Jubilee is moving into the space at 1407 T St. NW, founder Victoria Lai told us today. The store will share the space with local bakery BakeHouse, which closed the retail portion of its business in May.
“We’re really excited to be working together with them and to bring ice cream to the northwest D.C. neighborhood,” Lai said.
When the new shop opens this September, it will sell Jubilee’s menu of ice cream flavors along with “some new things,” she added.

Two years after opening its first store in Yards Park, Ice Cream Jubilee is preparing to open its second location at 1407 T Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20009. Ice Cream Jubilee will continue to feature creative flavors of premium ice cream made from local, all natural cream, such as Thai Iced Tea, Banana Bourbon Caramel, Marionberry, and Cookies & Cookie Dough. Ice Cream Jubilee will serve its freshly made waffle cones and quarter-pound cookies, and introduce new seasonal flavors, sundaes, and indulgent drinks for the winter.

Ice Cream Jubilee will share the space with Bakehouse, a bakery that won the neighborhood’s heart with its fresh pastries and sandwiches. Bakehouse will continue to operate a wholesale bakery out of the shared space while Ice Cream Jubilee operates the front of house as a full-service ice cream shop.

Ice Cream Jubilee is currently open at 301 Water St, SE, in Yards Park along the Capitol Riverfront, walking distance from the Nationals Park. Its summer hours extend through October 31 (11am-10pm Sunday to Thursday, and 11am-11pm Friday and Saturday).
