Adams Morgan Day Fundraiser: All Night Happy Hour

A $10 donation for the Adams Morgan Day festivities next month will come with happy hour specials.

Nellie’s Drag Bingo Benefit for The Trevor Project
Nellie’s Sports Bar (900 U St. NW)
7-9 p.m.

LGBT advocacy group AGLA and Mr. Gay Arlington Matthew Jay Kelly will have a drag bingo to raise money for The Trevor Project, a suicide hotline for gay youth.

Wednesday

The Facebook Monologues
Rendezvous Lounge (2226 18th St. NW)
8 p.m.

D.C. comedians will use what they find on Facebook to create a show.

Precious Goods D.C. Monthly Care Package Assembly Mixer
Red Rocks (1036 Park Road NW)
6-8 p.m.

Locals will grab drinks and put together packages of feminine hygiene products for women in need.

A Fat Wreck: a Punk-U-Mentary
The Howard Theatre (620 T St. NW)
6 p.m.

Howard Theatre will screen a movie on the founding of Fat Wreck Chords by Fat Mike of the punk band NOFX and his ex-wife, Erin Kelly-Burkett.

Perfect Pickles: Hands-On Pickle Making
Common Good City Farm (415 V St. NW)
5:30-7:30 p.m.

Common Good City Farm will host a pickling workshop.

Thursday

Grapes with the Apes
National Zoo (3001 Connecticut Ave. NW)
6-9 p.m.

Zoo visitors can hang out with apes and drink some wine. Tickets start at $50 for Friends of the National Zoo members and $65 for non-members.

Chinese Tea Ceremony
Confucius Institute U.S. Center (1776 Massachusetts Ave. NW)
6-7 p.m.

Tea expert Andrew Bittan will share his insights on brewing and have some tea to share.

Friday

Labor Day Silent Dance
The Embassy Row Hotel (2015 Massachusetts Ave. NW)

A silent dance party will come to the Dupont Circle hotel.

Saturday

Bey vs. Jay

9 p.m.

DJs Basscamp and The Lothario will spin Beyonce and Jay Z hits.

Sunday

Sparkle DC Queer Open Mic presents (Sam)ira Obeid
Busboys and Poets (2021 14th St. NW)
8-9:30 p.m.

LGBT poet and activist Sam(ira) Obeid will take the stage at the 14th Street corridor restaurant.

Pansaari is TWO!

3-6 p.m.

The Indian restaurant will have a celebratory happy hour with food and drink specials.

The Super Hero And Super Villains Party
The Wonderland Ballroom (1101 Kenyon St. NW)
9:30 p.m.

The bar will have villain- and hero-inspired drinks and a costume party.
