UPDATED: Man Shot, Killed Near H Street Corridor

(Updated at 3:50 p.m.) A 39-year-old man was shot and killed near the H Street corridor this morning, police said.

The fatal shooting happened on the 900 block of 10th Street NE about 4 a.m.

Police found Eugene Clarke, of Temple Hills, Md., unconscious and unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds when they arrived on 10th Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities haven’t released any suspect information.

The Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch is investigating the crime.
