Vice Presidential Debate Watch Party
JR’s Bar (1519 17th St. NW)
8-11 p.m.

Latino Victory Project and Environmental Defense Action Fund will host a watch party for the Kaine-Pence debate. The free event will include games of Loteria. Those interested in attending must RSVP.

D.C. For Hillary Vice Presidential Debate Watch Party
Sauf Haus (1216 18th St. NW)
8-11 p.m.

Clinton supporters are slated to cheer on Tim Kaine during this free event at the Dupont beer hall.

National Taco Day
El Tamarindo (1785 Florida Ave. NW)
11 a.m.-4 p.m.

The Adams Morgan Mexican restaurant celebrates National Taco Day with $2 tacos and $3 margaritas.


Pig Roast and Hootenanny
Exiles Bar (1610 U St. NW)
7:30 p.m.

This party will include a pig roast, beer pairings, spiked apple cider and a family-style buffet. The event will also include games like cornhole and darts along with a chance for partygoers to make some music. Tickets are $45.

Perfect Liars Club
The Bier Baron Tavern (1523 22nd St. NW)
7:30-9 p.m.

Four performers will tell tales, but only three of them are telling the truth. Can members of the audience spot the liar in the group?


Zine Lab: D.C. Punk Archive Edition
Mt. Pleasant Library (3160 16th St. NW)
7:30 p.m.

This monthly workshop gives locals a chance to try their hand at making small-press comics and zines.

Judah Friedlander
DC Improv (1140 Connecticut Ave. NW)
7:30 p.m.

That guy who wore those funny hats on “30 Rock” will perform three nights at Dupont’s DC Improv. 


Yoga in the Garden
Old City Farm and Guild (925 Rhode Island Ave. NW)
5:30-6:30 p.m.

Locals will have the chance to roll out a mat and work on their poses outdoors during this free event.


“Thingamajig” Gear Swap
Wunder Garten at NoMa (1st and L streets NE)
2-6 p.m.

Locals will be able to swap, sell and purchase used outdoor gear during the event. Outdoor retailer REI will also sell “top-quality used gear” during the swap. Tickets cost $10 for non-members.

Town and Country
Town Danceboutique (2009 8th St. NW)
6:30 p.m.

Want to learn to line dance? Here’s your chance. Every other Saturday, D.C. Rawhides hosts this event of line dancing and socializing with lessons for all who want them.


Presidential Debate Watch Party
Nellie’s Sports Bar 900 U St NW
9-11 p.m.

The U Street bar will serve $15 Bud product buckets to help patrons through the second presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

Learn to Make Paneer
Pansaari (1603 17th St. NW)
3:30-5:30 p.m.

The Dupont event space and eatery will teach attendees how to make “real” paneer with whole milk. Tickets cost $65 per person.

Pretty Boi Brunch
Acre 121 (1400 Irving St. NW)
12-3 p.m.

Eat brunch while watching drag kings strut their stuff at this Columbia Heights bar and restaurant. Tickets cost $40 and include brunch and bottomless drinks.


A People’s Choir Sing-Along: Friends and Family
DC9 (1940 9th St. NW)
7:30-9:30 p.m.

A crowd of total strangers will meet to sing pop songs related to a particular theme. This month’s theme is “friends and family.”
