Jazz musicians will simultaneously play the same tune throughout Blagden Alley. “Pedestrians experience the music differently depending on which street they walk past, the speed at which they walk, and by which direction they are headed,” organizers said.
National Coming Out Day Mixer
Town Danceboutique (2009 8th St. NW)
One of the District’s largest gay bars is partnering with the Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ Affairs to host a celebration for National Coming Out Day next week. The mixer will include free light refreshments, a speech from the director of the Mayor’s Advisory Committee on LGBTQ Affairs, Sheila Alexander-Reid, and a cash bar.
This Is My Brave: The Show
Keegan Theatre (1742 Church St. NW)
6-8 p.m.; showtimes on Monday and Tuesday
The show features 15 individuals whose lives have been touched by mental illness. Performers share their stories through poetry, original music and personal essays. Proceeds from this show benefit Our Door Community Wellness Center.
DC Bike Party: Angels and Demons Ride
Dupont Circle Fountain
The DC Bike Party will gather for a spooky Halloween-themed ride across the District. After the ride, cyclists will gather at Jimmy Valentine’s Lonely Hearts Club for a beer.
October Tiny House Tour
Old City Farm & Guild (925 Rhode Island Ave. NW)
Attendees can tour the 145-square-foot Matchbox house located at Old City Farm & Guild. Photography, kids and animals are welcome.

German Board Game Night
