Thieves Rob Man Peeing in Dupont Alley
Three thieves with a “pointed object” robbed a man who was urinating in a Dupont Circle alley this past weekend, police said.
The robbery occurred on the 1200 block of 18th Street NW about 3 a.m. Sunday.
The victim was relieving himself behind a building about three blocks south of the Dupont Circle NW traffic circle after visiting a nightclub, according to authorities. Two men and another person then came up to him and put a unknown pointed object to his back.
“Give me whatever you have,” one of the individuals said and took the victim’s wallet from his pocket, according to police.
The robbers fled soon after.
Police released descriptions of two of the suspects:
B/M [black male] DREAD LOCK WEARING A BLACK SHIRT, S2-B/M BALD HAIR WEARING A GREY SHIRT
Someone with a bag of crack cocaine also tried to break into an Adams Morgan house in an effort to elude police over the weekend, according to authorities.
The attempted home invasion happened on the 2300 block of Ontario Road NW about 3:45 a.m. Sunday.
Cops tried to speak with somebody in the area when that individual began to run, police said. Officers then chased the person to a house about a block west of the Adams Morgan Harris Teeter.
The individual pushed through the screen of an open window at the house and damaged another window in an attempt to get inside, where three people were sleeping.
Police eventually arrested the individual, who had crack cocaine on him, according to authorities.
