Shooting Reported in NoMa Area

Someone was shot near Truxton Circle and NoMa this evening, police said.

The shooting happened on the 1100 block of 1st Terrace NW. The area is close to the Sursum Corda low-income housing cooperative between North Capitol and 1st streets NW.

This is the second shooting to happen in that area in less than a week. Someone shot a man in the leg on the 1100 block of Sursum Corda Court NW last Thursday.

Police put out the following tweet about the crime:
