The Shaw restaurant will celebrate the Day of the Dead with complimentary mezcal tastings, special cocktails and face-painting at the bar.

Hannibal Buress
Howard Theatre (620 T St. NW)
6 p.m.

The Emmy-nominated comedian and actor will perform at the historic Howard Theatre. Tickets start at $27.50.


Perfect Liars Club
The Bier Baron Tavern (1523 22nd St. NW)
7:30-9 p.m.

Four performers will tell tales, but only three of them are telling the truth. Can members of the audience spot the liar in the group?


BROWNfxck: How To Touch a Trans* Booty
HIPS 906 H St. NE
6:30-8:30 p.m.

Workshop attendees will learn how to navigate dating, relationships and sex with trans people. The session will touch on common questions, such as: How do I like trans people without fetishizing them? Does liking trans people change your sexuality?


“Awkward Sex … and the City”
The Bier Baron Tavern (1523 22nd St. NW)
9-10:30 p.m.

Performers will share their most awkward and imitate sex stories in front of a live audience. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the show.


Dance Yourself Clean
Black Cat (1811 14th St. NW)
9 p.m.-2 a.m.

Patrons can shimmy to indie dance music from bands such as LCD Soundsystem, Sleigh Bells, Haim and Cut Copy.


Israel Story Live
The Goldman Theater at the Edlavitch DCJCC (1529 16th St. NW)
7-9 p.m.

The team behind the Israel Story podcast will visit the District and perform a live version of their storytelling show.
