Two men sought in an SUV break-in and theft of clothes in Mount Vernon Triangle this fall have appeared in surveillance footage, according to authorities.

The incident occurred on the 300 block of I Street NW about 5:30 p.m. Oct. 29.

Video police distributed today shows two men on bicycles stopped near a black Jeep Patriot. The men eventually reached into the vehicle through a broken window and appeared to grab a backpack.

It wasn’t clear how the window was damaged.

Two men wanted for making off with three bicycles from a condominium building in Logan Circle have been caught on video, according to authorities.

The theft occurred in Solo Piazza at 1300 13th St. NW about 2:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10.

Video police distributed today shows two men in dark jackets with hoods entering the building and walking around in its garage. They eventually left the building with the three bikes.

700 block of Kenyon Street NW (Photo via Google Maps)A woman bit a thief who stole her iPhone in Park View over the weekend, according to authorities.

The robbery happened on the 700 block of Kenyon Street NW about 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

The woman was walking about a block north of the Bruce Monroe Community Park when a man came up to her, police said.

“Do you know where ‘easterns’ is?” the man asked, according to authorities. It wasn’t exactly clear what he wanted, however.

1800 block of Newton Street NW (Photo via Google Maps)A would-be thief punched a man twice and tried to rob him in Mount Pleasant last night, police said.

The violent attempted robbery happened on the 1800 block of Newton Street NW about 6:15 p.m. Thursday.

The man was about two blocks south of Piney Branch Park when three men came up to him, according to authorities. One of the men then punched him in his face.

The victim tried to run home, but the attacker grabbed onto the man’s messenger bag in an effort to steal it. The victim started yelling for help soon after.

The would-be robber punched the victim again and tried to get into a pocket in the man’s pants.

The assailant and the two other men with him then fled.

The victim declined medical attention.

Police haven’t released detailed descriptions of the suspects.

A group of masked men with a gun wanted in a robbery at a U Street corridor liquor store this week have appeared on film, according to authorities.

The armed robbery occurred in Benmoll at 1700 U St. NW about 11:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Video police released yesterday shows three men wearing masks, blue gloves and dark clothing with hoods hopping out of a white minivan in front of the shop. The trio then went into the store, and one of them pulled out a gun.

1100 block of New Jersey Avenue NW (Photo via Google Maps)A woman stabbed a man in a domestic dispute in the Truxton Circle area early this morning, according to authorities.

The stabbing happened on the 1100 block of New Jersey Avenue NW about 2 a.m. today.

The woman, who has a child in common with the man, was fighting with him in an apartment about two blocks southwest of the New York Avenue Playground, police said. She then grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the man repeatedly in his right arm.

He was brought to a local hospital with a “severe laceration” on his arm, according to a police report.

Police arrested 24-year-old Tajiana Skinner of Northwest D.C. for assault with a dangerous weapon, according to authorities. Information on her lawyer wasn’t immediately available.

1500 block of 1st Street NW (Photo via Google Maps)A thief asked a man for cigarettes and then pulled out a gun t0 rob him in Truxton Circle last night, police said.

The armed robbery occurred on the 1500 block of 1st Street NW about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The victim was near 1st and Q streets NW when a man came up to him looking for marijuana, according to authorities. The victim said he didn’t known anyone with weed, and the man left.

But he returned and asked for cigarettes. As the victim was pulling out a pack of cigarettes, the man flashed a handgun and took the victim’s wallet, cellphone and Helly Hansen jacket.

The robber then hopped into a white car and drove away.

Police released descriptions of two men wanted in connection with the crime. It wasn’t immediately clear what role the second suspect played.

Police are searching for a man filmed grabbing two packages off the front porch of a Columbia Heights home last week, according to authorities.

The theft happened on the 3500 block of 13th Street NW about 2:30 p.m. Friday.

A home surveillance video police released yesterday shows the man walking up to the two packages and putting a coat over them. He then picked them up and left the porch.

It wasn’t immediately clear what was in the packages.

1200 block of H Street NE (Photo via Google Maps)Police have arrested a 40-year-old man they said tried to run from them after he held up a business on the H Street corridor yesterday afternoon, according to authorities.

Alphonso Eric Bell of Southeast D.C. faces robbery while armed and unlawful possession of a firearm charges in connection with the crime, police said. Information on his lawyer wasn’t immediately available.

Bell is suspected of stealing $1,000 in cash at gunpoint from a commercial building on the 1200 block of H Street NE, police said. But authorities haven’t identified the business where the crime happened about 5:15 p.m. Monday.

Cops in the area saw Bell run inside the building and heard a commotion. He left the location soon after, and officers pursued him.

The officers caught him about a block away and found a .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun with 12 rounds in the magazine and one round in the chamber. Cops also recovered the stolen money.

A group of people wanted in a robbery in which thieves beat a man unconscious in Columbia Heights this month have appeared in surveillance footage, according to authorities.

The violent robbery happened on the 3600 block of 11th Street NW about 9:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7.

Video police released yesterday shows five people walking around the Walgreens in Chinatown. At least two of them buy items at the store.

The people in the footage used the victim’s credit cards, according to authorities. The victim lost his wallet after a group of people punched and kicked him, causing him to lose consciousness.

Anyone who has information regarding this case should call police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. Crime Solvers of Washington, DC currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia.

2900 block of Georgia Avenue NW (Photo via Google Maps)A group of thieves wearing black ski masks robbed a man at gunpoint in Park View early on Thanksgiving, police said.

The armed robbery occurred on the 2900 block of Georgia Avenue NW about 3:30 a.m. Thursday.

The victim was walking about a block north of the Howard University campus when three masked men came up to him, according to authorities. One of the men then ordered the victim to hand over his belongings, but he declined.

1200 block of H Street NE (Photo via Google Maps)A man was stabbed on the H Street corridor early this morning, police said.

The attack happened on the 1200 block of H Street NE about 1:30 a.m. The area includes Sticky Rice, a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen and an AutoZone, among other businesses.

Cops found the victim on the ground with a stab wound to his abdomen, according to authorities. But he refused to provide information on his assailant.

The man was brought to a local hospital for treatment.

Police haven’t released a description of the suspect.

1200 block of W St. NWA robber put a gun to a woman’s face while stealing her car in broad daylight near U Street yesterday.

The carjacking happened on the 1200 block of W St. NW around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, according to D.C. Police. The area where the crime occurred is two blocks from the U Street corridor.

The victim was in her car on W Street when someone opened her driver’s side door and pressed a gun to the surface of her cheek, according to a police report. The armed thief then yanked the woman out of the car and jumped behind the wheel.

Several other people  got in the vehicle before it sped down the road, police said.

The victim reported minor injuries to her face but refused medical attention at the scene.

(Updated Wednesday at 5:47 p.m.) A man who was found with a self-inflicted stab wound in Thomas Circle Park yesterday morning has died.

D.C. Fire and EMS personnel received a report that a man was injured and unconscious in the park around 9:20 a.m. yesterday.

The man, identified by the Washington Post as Paul Wegerson, stabbed himself in the abdomen with a pair of scissors, according to a D.C. Police spokesman. Though paramedics rushed Wegerson to a local hospital soon after he was found, he later died from his wounds.

Wegerson, 35, worked as a director at Burson-Marsteller, a public relations and communications firm with offices about a block from Thomas Circle.
