Crime news from Dupont-Logan-U Street.

There was a robbery involving force around 8:30 pm, Monday, November 26, on the 1600 block of 8th Street NW (between Q and R Streets).

From DC Police Alerts: “FS3081 CONFIRMED A Robbery Force in the 1600 blk of 8th St, NW. No Lookout given. DO NOT TAKE ACTION CALL 911 W/EVENT #I20120596308. Sent on: 11/26 20:34.”

Crime news from the Dupont-Logan-U Street area.

According to DC Police, “The Third District is investigating a shooting, which occurred in the 1800 block of 8th Street NW at approximately 11:30 pm, July 16. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Metropolitan Police Department at 202-727-9099 or text at 50411.”

The 1800 block of 8th Street is between S and T Streets NW. There was another shooting on July 7 about two blocks away at 7th and R Streets NW that left one man dead. An arrest was made in that case.

Details from the DC Police Alert: “Shooting at_2321 hours 1800 block 8th Street,NW B/M Medium Build, Black Shirt, Blue Jeans, with Dreadlocks with a handgun in his waistband/L/S northbound 8th Street, NW towards Florida Avenue, NW DO NOT TAKE ACTION CALL 911 W/EVENT #I20120355961. Sent on: 07/16 23:39.”
