VeraCruz Gallery is a new addition to the art gallery scene in Borderstan at 2108 Vermont Avenue NW. The gallery has an ample exhibit space with small high tables around the edges of the gallery, which allow you to enjoy the art while chatting. You can also sit at the bar and listen to music.
Tonight’s opening reception from 5 pm to 2 am features artist Brandon Hill at VeraCruz. Also known as “The Babychicken,” Hill is showcasing a collection of work that exudes a 1950’s/60’s, called “Tough Guys & Dames.” Tonight’s opening will have Jay Simon as DJ, a selection of Latin American beers, rums and tequilas and great tacos by Mama Chuy. The gallery is above Duffy’s Irish Pub on Vermont Avenue, just above V Street NW.
