It’s been a little while since we’ve checked in on Shaw’s City Market at O and exciting developments are continuing to happen over there.

The Giant Food is currently scheduled to open on November 1. Most recently, a tenant layout permit was issued at the O Street Market, according to Michael Neibauer at the Washington Business Journal. The permit is for 43,765 square feet, so there will plenty of space for your future grocery shopping (when you’re not at the nearby Trader Joe’s, that is).

Building construction has continued and the East Tower has been completed. Expectations are that the first tenants will be able to move in come November 2013.

The leasing office for City Market is currently scheduled to open in June, just a few weeks away.

City Market at O is at the 1400 block of 7th Street NW and will bring vibrancy to the neighborhood with a mix of apartments, condos, hotel rooms, retail shops, and restaurants.

Stay up-to-date on all these developments by following the coverage at Borderstan, checking out the City Market at O website, and by catching up on their Facebook page.
