DC Bike Party’s monthly bike ride is here!
If you prefer to enjoy this humid-free fall air on two wheels, then join the District’s new group on its third ride of the year. DC Bike Party, a group that aims to explore areas of the nation’s capital with like-minded biking enthusiasts, will hold an 11-mile ride on Wednesday, September 12.
The group will meet in the middle of Dupont Circle at 7:30 pm and depart for the evening’s ride at 8 pm. The planned route includes trips to some of the city’s most famous landmarks, including the White House, the Capitol and RFK Stadium.
And of course, the ride will end with a celebration at Millie and Al’s in Adams Morgan.

On Wednesday, August 8, DC’s Bike Party will ride through Borderstan on its second ride of the season.
The organized group – which met for the first time this past July – will meet again to ride around town, stop at a few bars and exchange information on the District’s bike routes.
Can’t make this month’s ride? Bike Party is planning monthly rides throughout the year. Stay tuned to the organization’s website or follow them on twitter (@dcbikeparty) for more information on upcoming rides.
A full moon is scheduled for Tuesday, July 3 — and BicycleSPACE has just the plan for you! That is, as long as you aren’t turning into a werewolf… Join the local bicycle shop from 8 pm until midnight for its “Full Moon Outing,” one event in a series of others that BicycleSPACE will host this summer.
The evening will start with a ride through the calm, summer city streets and will finish with a picnic and some musical surprises.
Be sure to dress in bright colors and bring a light (if you have one) for safety. BicycleSPACE will also provide glow sticks to make sure everyone shimmers in the dark throughout the ride. The group will meet at 1019 7th Street NW; the “Full Moon Outing” is free and open to the public.
