Organizers of DC Flag Tattoo Day used national Flag Day to bring attention to the District’s lack of vote in Congress. An event in Dupont Circle from 6 to 8 pm today featured speakers from DC Vote, art by Give Me a Vote and Albus Cavus. And, of course, Washingtonian’s with the three stars and two bars flag tattoo were there to show of their ink.
June 14 is Flag Day in the United States, which is why you see the special logo on the Borderstan.com landing page today. We’re also recognizing Flag Day for another reason: Luis Gomez becomes a United States Citizen today. Luis is the co-founder and deputy editor of Borderstan.com and the guy who brings you many of the photos here on the site.
