Today’s photo, “Diego D’Ambrosio,” is from lightboxdc and was taken on July 30. D’Ambrosio and Diego’s Hair Salon are a landmark in the city at 1901 Q Street NW. The block where the salon is located has a secondary name, “Diego D’Ambrosio Way.”

About today’s photo… It was taken by lightboxdc on June 14, 2006: “United House of Prayer procession through Logan Circle. Founded by ‘Sweet Daddy’ Grace, the UHoP was one of several largely African-American Christian sects which flourished during the Great Depression, and endures.”
