1200 block of Massachusetts Avenue NWA man shot in Southeast D.C. early this morning went to the hospital after cops found him near Thomas Circle NW, according to authorities.

The shooting happened on the 1800 block of Stanton Terrace SE about 12:30 a.m. Police officers stopped a car with the victim on the 1200 block of Massachusetts Avenue NW about 1:15 a.m.

The man was conscious when cops discovered him, police said.

Authorities haven’t released any suspect information.

Mass. Ave and 18th St. NWThe District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will break ground on new sidewalk repairs near Dupont Circle next month.

Workers will perform the work “on or around” Oct. 5 at the intersection of 18th Street and Massachusetts Ave. NW as part of the department’s city-wide Americans with Disability Act Compliance Program.

Forthcoming improvements include the correction of drainage issues, repairs and installation of porous flexible paving.

DDOT says the work will be conducted from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. each day of the week except Sunday.

Police are on the lookout for a man filmed in connection with an armed assault in Dupont Circle.

According to police, a suspect knocked on the door of a home on the 2000 block of Massachusetts Avenue NW last Saturday at approximately 1:45 p.m. The suspect then pulled out a handgun and unsuccessfully attempted to force his way into the home before fleeing.

The victim was not injured during the crime.

Police are searching for a man in a white tank top and dark colored pants filmed walking through the lobby of a building.
