Don’t miss the new Special Agent Galactica show at MOVA Lounge, 2204 14th Street NW, tonight. Galactica also sings at the Black Fox Lounge with a group of local jazz instrumentalists every second and fourth Friday of the month.
Galactica has been a staple of the neighborhood for some times. Borderstan recently interviewed the Special Agent to learn a bit more about her life in the neighborhood.
The monthly show, Galactica’s Ye Olde Rock’n Roll Show, runs 8 to 10 pm. It will feature some of the hits of the genre from the past 40 years, including songs by P!nk, Carrie Underwood, Led Zeppellin, Elvis, The Eurythmics, Pat Benatar, Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, Sheryl Crow, No Doubt, and The Rolling Stones.
Jeffrey Johnson, Galactica’s alter ego has said: “She is a very elusive person and our relationship is on a need-to-know basis. I manage her performance details and bookings and that’s all I’m really allowed to know. I do know that she works for a privately funded/run securities organization referred to as “The Agency,” and that she has been involved in many top secret, yet highly publicized, missions.”
