A Pixar film starring anthropomorphic emotions will kick off this year’s Adams Morgan Movie Nights series.
“Inside Out” is slated to be this year’s first film to play on an outdoor screen at the Marie Reed Elementary School soccer field at 18th and California streets NW, organizers announced last night.
The U Street Movie Series will conclude this year’s summer film schedule with screenings of two musicals.
Attendees can sing along loudly with “Frozen” this Saturday at 7:15 p.m., or hum quietly to “The Wiz” next Wednesday at dusk.
The film series, which takes place at the Harrison Recreation Center (1330 V Street NW), is free and residents can bring along food and drinks.
Pets and alcoholic beverages are prohibited.

Residents can watch a beloved Bollywood film for free on U Street tonight.
The U Street Movie Series will screen “Monsoon Wedding” at the Harrison Recreation Center (1330 V Street NW) tonight at 7 p.m. The film starts promptly at dusk.
The film series is free and residents can bring along food and drinks. The next film in the series, The Wiz, will take place on Sept. 16.
