Poste may not technically be in the Borderstan neighborhood, but the brasserie-style 8th Street NW restaurant is all about going “local” for its happy hour. Poste’s newly launched “All-local Happy Hour” features ingredients and beverages grown and made in the DC area.
Included on the new menu are the following specials:
- Beers from DC Brau, Port City Brewery and Chocolate City Brewery
- Drinks with Green Hat Gin and Catoctin Creek Rye and a special Thibaut-Jannison Virginia Fizz
- Food ingredients sourced entirely from local farms and producers including Polyface Farms, Rappahannock River Oysters, Gordy’s Pickle Jar and War Shore Oyster Company
- Food items such as Papa Weaver Pork Sausage Burger Sliders, Maryland Blue Crab and Potato Croquettes, Polyface Farms Wings and more
All drink specials are available from 11 am. to 7 pm, Monday to Friday and from 4 to 7 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Food items, priced between $4 and $8, are available from 5 to 7 pm daily.
