The walk will last from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and begins at the CVS parking lot at the intersection of 7th Street and Florida Avenue NW.
During the walk, residents will also have the chance to chat and address safety concerns with employees from the Metro Police Department, Department of Behavioral Health and Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs.
This is one of several public safety walks that Nadeau has organized across Ward 1.

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) and Bikeshare today put 30 safety-themed Bikeshare bikes into circulation near Dupont Circle.
The new bikes can be rented from the Bikeshare docks at Massachusetts Avenue and Dupont Circle NW.
The bikes bear custom-made wheels to promote D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser’s Vision Zero initiative, which aims to eliminate bike fatalities and serious injuries by 2024.
As part of the new initiative, DDOT is asking Capital Bikeshare riders to “Bikeshare their safety stories” by tweeting at the @DCVisionZero Twitter account. Additionally, riders are being asked to report unsafe intersections and roads on DDOT’s Vision Zero Safety Map.

The Metropolitan Police Department PSA 208 Community Meeting is tomorrow night, August 19, at 7 p.m., at the Third District MPD headquarters at 1620 V Street NW. (Yep, at 3rd District even though we are now in the 2nd District.) The PSA 208 meeting is the third Tuesday of each month. Representatives of the Dupont Circle Public Safety group also attend. Remember if you live west of 15th Street that PSA 208 is your PSA — but East Borderstanians are always welcome and your input is helpful.
