Welcome to Summer: “Hot, Hazy & Humid, With a High of 90”
I know the rapture didn’t happen, but are we sure? It is hot as Hades out there. No records were broken, but it is full on sauna out there. The The Washington Post has a fun poll up where you can vote on how hot you think it will get this summer. Go check it out, remember to hydrate but as WJLA reminds us, do NOT do so with city fire hydrants.

It’s Hump Day Already
The beauty of a three-day weekend with Monday off is that Hump Day — Wednesday — arrives so quickly. Wednesday is the hump at the top of the work week. Get it?
MPD 2nd District Has New Commander
You can see the new commander’s resume in his own words at the city’s website here. Michael Reese has replaced Matthew Klein at 2D; Klein has go to the MPD’s Internal Affairs Bureau. Police Service Area (PSA) 208, which includes Dupont-Kalorama, is in 2D.
