About Those Changes on the Landing Page
Yes, you’ll notice some changes on the Borderstan landing page. We simplified things and made the layout a bit cleaner while opening up some real estate for ads. The Poll of the Week is gone from the landing page, but we plan to replace with a weekly poll in a separate post (they way we used to do it).
Be sure to check out the revamped and updated Local Resources Page — it includes links for DC Government and Schools, DC Police and Crime Information, Advisory Neighborhood Commissions, Community Listservs and Organizations. And, the “Popular” Button in the upper right navigation bar will show the most popular stories (according to you) over the previous five days.
Only here… one of the nice things about living in Borderstan is that you meet people who do unusual, interesting foreign policy stuff that allows them to travel to cool places.
