This Saturday you don’t have to wake up early but you cannot afford to miss the Annual Dupont Circle pillow fight at 4 pm.
But, if you are really into Pillow Fighting, International Pillow Fight Day in Washington will take place at 3 pm at the Washington Monument.
Right after the pillow fight at the Washington Monument, which will only last 20 minutes, participants are invited to walk or Metro to the next fight at Dupont Circle.
Please make sure to read the rules as this is an event for all ages:
- No down pillows
- No glasses
- Don’t hit people with cameras
- Hit lightly
- Help clean up
And the fun doesn’t end after the pillow fight. Head over to Cobalt (17th and R Streets NW) for the Pillow Fight After Party — who knows where your pillow will end up.

Happy Thursday, Borderstan… it’s almost the weekend. In the meantime, here is a photo that Luis took of The Washington Monument that Luis took last week from the steps of The Lincoln Memorial.
